The family has expressed their foremost wish at this time is to maintain their privacy. An attorney for the neighbors who dialed 911 after Tiger Woods' car crash last week says they saw no indication the golfer was beaten or driving under the influence.

Attorney Bill Sharpe said Tuesday that Linda Adams and her adult sons Jarius and Jerome Adams went outside their Orlando-area home after hearing the crash. They found Woods' wife, Elin Nordegren, upset about her husband's injuries and she asked them to call 911.

The story so far is that Tiger's wife claimed to have broken two windows to rescue him from the SUV, but the Woods' next door neighbors said they got to the scene in their front yard seconds after they heard the crash and Tiger was already on the ground, with his wife next to him, and they saw no golf club at all at the scene.

Woods' injuries were "consistent with a car wreck and inconsistent with him being beat up," attorney Bill Sharpe said (watch raw video). "The scratches on his face were consistent with someone who maybe was in a minor car accident and hit his head on the windshield. ... None of his injuries looked like he was beat up by his wife."

In its initial accident report, the Florida Highway Patrol said alcohol was not involved.

The attorney said the Adams said Woods could not get up; they gave him a blanket and a pillow to make him more comfortable until paramedics got there.

"One thing we want to make clear is that Mrs. Woods' attitude was consistent with her being concerned about her injured husband," Sharpe said. "Mrs. Woods was trying to help him. Mrs. Woods was worried about her husband. She was concerned."

The Adams' lawyer said he was hired because the Adams were inundated by phone calls from the media and that words were being put in their mouths.

“You guys are scary. You guys are scary. They've had hundreds, they can't use their cell phones, their telephones. They don't know how people got their unlisted number. They were frightened,” Sharpe said.

The Adams said they just wanted to be good neighbors, and they were, and they wanted to set the record straight.
